Multi-clip timeline
Import a batch, reorder clips and choose exact in and out points for each source.
A local editing room
Arrange multiple clips, trim and crop, add transitions, music and captions, shape the voice track, then export in your browser. No account and no upload queue.
Useful, not theatrical
Import a batch, reorder clips and choose exact in and out points for each source.
Fit, fill, square, landscape or portrait framing with fades, slides and hard cuts.
Mix a local music track, set clip volume, playback rate and tonal EQ before export.
Add timed text and burn it into the video with readable styling.
Canvas, Web Audio and MediaRecorder assemble the output on your device.
Open multiple source clips together and apply one crop mode across the batch.
Your source files live only in this tab. Do not refresh or close it before exporting, or the current media session will be lost.
Before you export
Use clearly named files and place them in story order before importing. Cutroom keeps references to local files only for the current tab, so moving or renaming them during an edit can interrupt playback.
Choose the intended aspect ratio before adjusting crops and captions. A vertical social edit, square post and widescreen video need different safe areas, especially when platform controls cover the edges.
Keep voice intelligible by lowering music during speech. Use playback speed and tone controls conservatively, then listen through headphones and ordinary phone speakers before accepting the mix.
Hard cuts preserve timing and usually encode fastest. Fades and slides can clarify a change of scene, but too many transitions distract from the footage. Preview every boundary before the final render.
Long projects, high-resolution clips and many overlapping audio layers require more memory and processing time. Keep another copy of every source file, export a short test first, and leave the tab open until the download is complete. Cutroom does not claim full Premiere Pro compatibility or project interchange.
